Abraham paid the tithe.
Genesis 14: verse 36 to 40.
36 - And this Melchizedek, having thus established justice, was called king of heaven by his people, or, in other words, King of Peace.
37 - And he lifted up his voice and blessed Abram as high priest and keeper of the storehouse of God,
38 - the one whom God had appointed to receive tithes for the poor.
39 - So Abram paid him a tithe of all that he had, of all the riches that God had given him, more than he needed.
40 - And it came to pass that God blessed Abram, and gave him riches, honors, and lands as an everlasting possession, according to the covenant that he had made, and according to the blessing that Melchizedek had given him.
